Clear Surveys provides a nationwide
on-site data capture capability for local
authorities, utilities companies, industrial
and private sector clients. Positional,
level, connectivity and other attribute
data is gathered from existing sewerage
and drainage networks to provide:
- Accurate manhole surveys
- Ancillary surveys for overflows
and detention tanks, etc
- Pumping station surveys and
drop tests
- Sewage Treatment Works surveys
- Connectivity tracing and
validation
- Production of digital plans,
including digitisation of existing
data
- Detailed drawings of specific
structures
- Conventional topographic
and line and level surveys
- GPS surveys
- Pollution identification
and tracing

Scale drawings of particular features
such as combined sewer overflows, pumping
station wet wells and wastewater treatment
works can be produced and provided in
digital formats, such as AutoCAD, to suit
the client's needs. Positional data can
be obtained using GPS equipment and conventional
topographic surveys are also undertaken.
Drainage systems can be traced using a
variety of methods to confirm pipeline
routes, connectivity and to investigate
cross-connections. In addition, sources
of pollution can be traced and identified
through physical, chemical and laboratory
testing.
Data can be provided in GIS format, relative
to OS mapping, with asset attributes included
in the underlying database. The data set
can be imported into the client's data
management system or modelling software
as required.
Experienced hydraulic modellers who recognise
the importance of thorough and accurate
data collection lead Clear Surveys teams.
This is a particular advantage where data
is being used to build sewer models as
the surveyor is able to record features
and provide additional comments on the
operational condition of the asset from
a modelling perspective.
Our survey teams are fully trained and
experienced in confined space entry procedures,
street works operations and safe working
practices.
