Research Activities and Papers

 

Clear are leading figures in the development of new methods and approaches for the modelling of sewerage systems and SuDS systems. Clear has been involved in the development of a number of Water Company modelling guides and specifications, implementing current best practice, creating new analysis techniques and adopting novel approaches.

Clear has developed novel techniques and presented technical papers relating to runoff modelling, integrated catchment modelling, UPM, SuDS modelling, 2D runoff and model combination.

Jamie Margetts is a member of the WaPUG committee (CIWEMs Urban Drainage Group) and is responsible for Research and Development activities for WaPUG, which aims to promote best practice within the Water Industry, with particular interests in runoff modelling, rainfall representation and integrated urban drainage.

Jamie has facilitated workshops on these subjects and the outputs of these are published on the WaPUG website. Please see http://www.ciwem.org/groups/wapug/ for more details relating to WaPUG.

Jamie has just completed co-editing the WaPUG IUD Modelling Guide, which was released in June 2009.

Jamie is an active member of the FWR Wastewater Forum, and through this and WaPUG has helped produce a number of FWR/WaPUG workshop outputs relating to runoff modelling.
