Clear have considerable experience of managing ecological issues specific to railway projects.
Clear has staff who have previously held PTS Certificates on sites we have worked on and understand the requirement for TVP’s on small projects requiring minimal amounts of time on the railway.
Within the last three years Clear have successfully undertaken the following services for the rail industry:
- Translocation of reptile species from a number of new station sites in South Wales
- Ecological Scoping and Watching Brief Work on a new station in Corby.
- Ecological Surveying on lengths of track proposed for structure renewal between Hinckley and Peterborough
- Bat Assessments on numerous bridges proposed for structure renewal across the midlands.
- Great Crested Newt Surveys on numerous sites proposed for maintenance works in Leicestershire.
Species typically found to be constraints on railway projects include badgers, reptiles, great crested newts, bats and Japanese knotweed.
Clear has a capability in surveying, reporting and providing appropriate and pragmatic solutions to ecological issues on rail projects.
