Due to an expanding workload we are looking to recruit a range of Water and Wastewater Modelling staff, Asset Planners, Flood Risk Engineers and Ecologists to work on/run a variety of large and smallClean Water, Wastewater, Flood Risk and Ecology projects. The roles are based across the UK either in our offices in Derby, Sheffield and Glasgow, or in a number of our client's offices.

Wastewater Modelling Vacancies

Role WW1 - Principal /Senior Wastewater Modellers

The ideal candidate will have a significant amount of experience in the following:

  • Sewerage Management Planning and Drainage Area Planning
  • Scoping projects including survey planning, cost estimation and study definition
  • Model build and verification using InfoWorks CS and InfoNet
  • Model analysis and solution development
  • Client/stakeholder engagement
  • Training new technicians/graduates

You will also have a degree or equivalent level qualification in an engineering, geography or environmental related subject, and ideally be a Chartered Member of CIWEM or ICE. You will have experience working within a team environment, helping out other team members where required.

We also expect the candidate to have the ability to communicate ideas effectively both through written report and oral presentations to all levels of staff within the company and to external clients.

Role WW2 - Wastewater Modellers

The ideal candidate will have experience in the following:

Role WW3 - Modelling Technicians

The ideal candidate will have experience in the following:

  • Data analysis and management using Map Info and MS Excel
  • Drawing production using Map Info and / or Arc GIS
  • Model build and initial verification
  • Survey management
  • Task delivery andtime management

You will have GCSEs at C or above in Maths and English. A Levels or equivalent qualification would also be of benefit.

We also expect the candidate to have the ability to communicate ideas effectively both through written report and oral presentations to all levels of staff within the company and to external clients. We operate using a team structure and therefore we are looking for team players who are willing to help out other members of the team as and when required.

Role WW4 - Graduate Modellers

We are looking to recruit new graduates with a 1st or 2nd class honours degree in a civil engineering, environmental or geography related subject.

We require enthusiastic graduates to work on a variety of small and large wastewater modelling projects across our offices in Derby, Sheffield and Glasgow. No previous experience is necessary just an interest in hydraulics, the water cycle, flooding, problem solving and solution development.Full on the job training will be given to the successful candidate, with opportunities available to work towards ICE/CIWEM membership.

Good communication skills (including good use of English) are required. We also expect the candidate to have the ability to communicate ideas effectively both through written report and oral presentations.

Clean Water Modelling Vacancies

Role CW1 - Principal or Senior Clean Water Modeller

  • Option Development and Feasibility Studies
  • Scoping projects including survey planning, cost estimation and study definition
  • A working knowledge of water and / or wastewater hydraulic solution modelling
  • Client/stakeholder engagement
  • Training new technicians/graduates

Role FR1 - Principal or Senior Flood Risk Engineers

The ideal candidate will have a significant amount of experience in the following:

  • Flood Risk Management related projects including FRAs and SWMPs
  • Scoping projects including survey planning, cost estimation and study definition
  • Sound working knowledge of hydraulic modelling packages (1D and 2D)
  • Model analysis and solution development
  • Client/stakeholder engagement
  • Training new technicians/graduates

You will also have a degree or equivalent level qualification in an engineering, geography or environmental related subject. You will have experience working within a team environment, helping out other team members where required.

We also expect the candidate to have the ability to communicate ideas effectively both through written report and oral presentations to all levels of staff within the company and to external clients.

Ecology Vacancies

Role EC1 – Senior Ecologist

The ideal candidate will have a significant amount of experience in the following:

  • Undertaking Habitat and Protected Species surveys, including desk studies, literature reviews and data analysis
  • Scoping projects including survey planning, cost estimation and study definition
  • Preparing reports to a high technical standard including survey reports, ecological appraisals, constraints reports etc.
  • Production of Ecological Impact Assessments in line with IEEM guidelines
  • Assisting in the production of Environmental Impact Assessment documents including ecological input to scoping reports, Environmental Statements etc.
  • Client/stakeholder engagement
  • Training new graduates

You will also have a degree or equivalent level qualification in Ecology, Zoology, Biological Sciences or Environmental Sciences and be a member of a suitable professional body. You will have experience working within a team environment, helping out other team members where required.

We also expect the candidate to have the ability to communicate ideas effectively both through written report and oral presentations to all levels of staff within the company and to external clients.

Role EC2 – Ecologist

The ideal candidate will have experience in the following:
