SEWERAGE AND DRAINAGE
Principal Drainage Engineers
- The opportunity exists for a principal drainage
engineer to join the company and play a vital
role in the development of the business. We
have opportunities with our existing clients
to undertake detailed scheme design for the
UK Water Companies and infrastructure design
for new developments. To take full advantage
of these opportunities we would be looking
to appoint a principal drainage engineer to
service our existing clients and develop new
business. Ideally we are looking to recruit
into our Derby office, however we are currently
investigating expansion opportunities and
therefore the creation of a satellite office
would be considered in the Severn Trent, Anglian
Water, United Utilities regions.
Senior Drainage Engineer
- A senior drainage engineer is required to
work on sewerage and drainage projects, predominately
for the UK Water Companies. The role would
suit a bright and ambitious drainage engineer
/ modeller with up to 10 years experience
looking for a role with responsibility. The
successful applicant will head up a sewer
modelling team to run alongside existing teams,
reporting to a director of the company. Experience
in InfoWorks and MapInfo is essential for
the successful management of the modelling
team. Ideally we are looking to recruit into
our Derby office, however we are currently
investigating expansion opportunities and
therefore the creation of a satellite office
would be considered in the Severn Trent, Anglian
Water, United Utilities regions.
Senior Sewer Modellers -
Senior sewer modellers are required to work
within our sewer modelling teams, working
on AMP4 projects for the UK Water Companies.
The post would suit an experienced sewer modeller
looking to advance their knowledge, lead projects
and be responsible for the day to day and
month to month progression of projects together
with the opportunity to get involved with
complex or specialist modelling activities.
The successful candidate should have a good
working knowledge of InfoWorks and MapInfo
together with experience of completing drainage
area plans for UK Water Companies.
Graduate Engineer / Sewer Modellers
- Graduates with 1 to 5 years experience required
to play an integral role in our sewer modelling
teams for AMP4, predominately working on secured
contracts with Severn Trent, Anglian Water
and United Utilities. The role will consist
of constructing and verifying sewer models,
producing Drainage Area Plans and undertaking
UPM Studies. There will also be the opportunity
to become involved in more general wastewater
engineering and feasibility assessments. InfoWorks
and MapInfo experience is essential.
Graduates - Bright and ambitious
graduates with up to 2 years experience are
required to fill a variety of roles. Applicants
should have an interest in hydraulic modelling,
wastewater engineering and SUDS. Successful
applicants will benefit from in-house training
and be encouraged to pursue further professional
qualifications. You should have a good honours
degree, be enthusiastic and keen to develop
your skills.
Senior Technicians - Civil
engineering technicians, with over 3 years
experience required to work with the sewer
modelling teams in the production of sewer
models, Drainage Area Plans and UPM Studies.
Experience in MapInfo and InfoWorks essential,
as is an ability to communicate and assist
with training and development.
Junior Technicians - Trainee
technicians are required to work with the
sewer and river modelling teams on interesting
and varied projects, predominately computer
orientated but with some site survey work.
Tasks will include supporting the engineers
in the production of sewer models, river models,
Drainage Area Plans and UPM Studies. The vacancies
would suit bright school leavers with a minimum
of 5 GCSE passes (A-C grade), with good English,
maths and computer literacy required. Full
training will be given.
FLOOD RISK MANAGEMENT
Principal Flood Risk Engineer
– An experienced river / flood risk
engineer with up to 10 years experience is
required to lead a team within our river modelling
and flood risk assessment division. The successful
applicant should have sound technical knowledge
and experience and should be capable of managing
a team of engineers and technicians. This
is an opportunity to develop the business
and applications are welcomed from ambitious
and confident individuals with a desire to
further their career with a thriving company.
River Modellers - Graduates
with 2 to 5 years experience are required
to assist in our increasing river modelling
and Flood Risk Assessment workload. The successful
applicant will be proficient in constructing
and calibrating river models, with experience
in InfoWorks RS, Hec-RAS or ISIS and use of
FEH methodologies. Experience in producing
PPS25 compliant FRAs is essential. Applications
from those with ambitions to lead a team and
help develop our business are most welcome.
ECOLOGY
Senior Ecologist - Due to
the growth of our ecology division we have
a vacancy for a senior ecologist with a minimum
of 5 years relevant experience and ideally
be a full member of the IEEM. Experience in
managing staff and with expertise in bat ecology
or botany would be advantageous, as would
applicants that hold any protected species
licences. Excellent fieldwork and report writing
skills are an essential for this post. The
successful applicant will be involved in a
diverse range of projects for a range of public
sector, corporate and private developer clients
across the UK, with the opportunity to develop
this area of our business significantly over
the next few years.
Ecologists - Applicants
with 2-3 years relevant experience in the
field and hold a relevant degree can expect
to be involved in range of exciting projects
across the UK. With the fast growth of this
industry, keen, energetic professionals would
be given the opportunity to develop their
experience and lead on smaller projects in
order to further their careers. Applicants
that specialise in one or more protected species
with experience in report writing would be
advantageous. Associate membership of the
IEEM would also be desirable.
Assistant Ecologists - Applications
are welcome from those looking for an opportunity
to further their careers in ecology. Graduates
with a related degree ideally with relevant
experience, or non-graduates with up to 5
years relevant experience are required. Those
applicants keen to further their careers in
this field, whilst leading on the front line
of our ecology business can expect to receive
training and experience to match their enthusiasm.
